Promote collaboration and ensure consistent application of Agile, Lean and DevOps best practices. Provide subject matter expertise to aid the organisation in understanding, using, and internalising Agile, Lean and DevOps values and practices. Create and support a sustainable business Agile, Lean and DevOps transformation by changing both process and culture. Establish an operating model to ensure adoption of the Agile, Lean and DevOps approach.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the organisation’s technology process and business analysis team in driving the implementation of Agile, Lean and DevOps principles and practices across the Group Technology portfolio.
  • Assist in driving the Enterprise Agile, Lean and DevOps transformation for the Organisation.
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem-solving.
  • Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Define change management practices, plan change deployment, administer change and implement solution for communicating new and changed policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to improved initiatives and ensure best practice is applied.
  • Preparing reports (progress/managerial) – report to relevant stakeholders and manage the cost and time constraints of process improvements.
  • Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
Minimum requirements
  • Practical Agile, Lean and DevOps experience
  • Proven track record of involvement across the Continuous Delivery lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) practices
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: SAFe, XP, Kanban, DSDM, TSP, Crystal, FDD, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: e.g. User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • Experience applying wide variety well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
  • Excellent consulting, communication and mentoring skills
  • Previous experience as a team lead
  • Process Engineering methods and techniques like Lean, 6 Sigma, Outside In, CMM, Theory of Constraints, Root cause analysis, etc.
  • Deep understanding of common Lean, Agile and DevOps practices, service-oriented environments and better other development best practices.
  • Understand fundamentals of iterative development
  • Understand other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise
  • Understand basic fundamentals of software development and IT operations processes and procedures
  • Understand the basic fundamentals of process re-engineering
  • Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
  • Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics
  • Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
Qualifications:
  • Business, IT or engineering degree
  • Relevant Agile certifications (Agile Project Management registered practitioner, Scrum, Product Owner, Agile team facilitation)
  • ITIL Intermediate qualification
  • Project management qualification (PMP and or PRINCE2)
  • Membership of professional body/association
