Job description

MiX Telematics has a vacancy for an energetic, sales oriented and commercially astute Senior Marketing Manager who is tech-savvy and has a well-rounded marketing background. This is a mid-level to senior position and is based in Stellenbosch and reports to the Managing Director.

Key performance areas include lead generation, digital marketing, branding and communications and product marketing to drive revenue growth. The successful candidate will have experience in all of these, a proven track record of success and strong leadership abilities.  In addition to being responsible for central marketing, the person will also be responsible for the MiX Learning Centre, our online learning platform.  

Responsibilities:
  • Developing the group marketing strategy and budget, and overseeing the successful implementation thereof
  • Guiding strategic digital marketing activities including demand/lead generation, marketing automation, content and social media marketing
  • Ensuring marketing and sales alignment across the business with the global and regional marketing, sales and product teams
  • Facilitating close collaboration between the central marketing team and the regional marketing teams
  • Overseeing group-wide brand building, thought leadership development, PR and internal communications
  • Driving group-wide efforts for customer insights and customer experience management
  • Ensuring the effective provision and management of online training services to MiX employees, partners and customers
  • Managing and leading the central marketing team and the MiX Learning Centre team
  • Liaising closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful execution of campaigns to drive sales of new and existing products

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Marketing
  • Minimum of five years in a leadership/management role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM, ideally with Salesforce
  • Extensive knowledge of digital marketing/demand/lead generation tactics, tools and processes
  • Advanced presentation and speaking skills
  • Experience dealing with a variety of stakeholders across the business, at all levels
Interpersonal skills:
  • Dynamic, driven, self-motivated
  • Team player with strong leadership skills
  • Positive, open minded and able to manage a team in a fast-paced environment
