The broad function of the position would be to provide assistance and manage Special Events. Responsibilties include, amongst others, the following:
Investigate and research events Managing donations in kind Managing the entire event Manage and update a data base.
Requirements Minimum of a Matric qualification. Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience gained in Coordinating events is essential Basic Accounting skills would be an advantage Proven knowledge of the Legal Framework pertaining to events is essential Broad knowledge of the social development sector and its needs. Valid motor vehicle drivers licence - code 8 is an essential Own Reliable transport is essential Experience coordinating events in a NGO is an advantage Strong Operational knowledge and experience Computer (Excel/ Word/ Powerpoint) skills Able to work extended hours including weekends when necessary.
