Job description

The Financial Planning Institute (FPI), a SAQA-recognised professional body, is seeking the services of an experienced digital marketing specialist. Reporting to the marketing manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, creating and delivering marketing programs that support the expansion and growth of services and products. Proficiency in graphics, web advertising, social media and web development are a must.

Essential functions:
  • Social media; 
  • Create, develop and manage social media content; 
  • Manage posting ensure this is done on a consistent basis; 
  • Implement and ensure adherence to the social media policy and framework; 
  • Build relationships with relevant influencers and stakeholders; 
  • Ensure continuous monitoring and reporting; 
  • Identify social media developments trends and opportunities; 
  • Web: 
  • Plan, develop and execute national digital programs and campaigns, including online advertising, website strategy and design, social media, mobile, and deliverables. 
  • Deliver a variety of digital assets, including rich media online ads, micro sites, and social media applications; 
  • Develop, manage and design layouts of communications such as presentations, newsletters, event support materials, research papers, and brochures; 
  • Interface with marketing communications functions, as well as PR, events, retail and business product marketing teams; 
  • Lead ongoing management of digital touch points, social networking landing pages, and mobile; 
  • Manage digital agency relationships, day-to- day production, as well as campaign budgets and schedules; 
  • Own and maintain site analytics, metrics, and campaign reporting; 
  • Develop and coordinate multimedia packages; 
  • Work with web metrics, digital analytics; 
  • Generate, analyse and interpret data; 
  • Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects across multiple lines of business; 
  • Personal conduct;
  • Ongoing focus on departmental cost saving or innovation initiatives; 
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures; 
  • Demonstrate willingness to adapt to a changing work environment; 
  • Commitment to ongoing learning;
  • Maintain healthy relationships with all stakeholders both internal and external.


Requirements

  • Grade 12; and 
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in marketing; and 
  • Digital marketing certificate; and 
  • At least four years’ experience in digital marketing and social media. 
  • Must be proficient in use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Framemaker, DreamWeaver, HTML, HTML5 and CSS; 
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing and digital production; 
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO and AdWords programs.
