Senior Product Manager X2  

ENVIRONMENT:
A Cape Town based company requires a 2 Senior Product Managers with at least 5 years experience in product development and product management. Experience in market and customer analysis and research, experience in the mobile industry and a tertiary education in IT and product and project management is required.

DUTIES:
1. Execute online products strategy focusing on the gateway suite of products.
2. Determine gateway products road map and provide input to the pricing model plan.
3. Gather requirements from prospectors, evaluators and customers and prepare product requirement documents.
4. Monitor industry innovations, perform competitive analysis and prepare business requirement documentation.
5. Manage and implement the presentation (website), billing, download / delivery and reporting of the gateway products.
6. Manage the technical relationships and the engineering contract with internal and external developers on an ongoing basis, with respect to new developments, feature enhancements, preparation of technical specifications and product bug fixes.
7. Preparation of all the associated technical documentation.
8. Produce and manage website related copy and documentation.
9. Ensure synergy with Product Marketing Manager and Marketing division.
10. Budget and EBDITA:
-Ensure that the revenue figures for each product are achievable through the implementation of the online product strategy.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. At least 5 years experience in product development and product management.
2. Experience in market and customer analysis and research.
3. Have completed a tertiary education in IT and product and project management.
4. Experience in the mobile industry.
5. Computer literate (MS Office, MS Project, Visio and email).
6. Proven ability to analyse market requirements, define products and solutions as well as defining user personas for individual products.
7. In depth understanding of the international wireless/mobile messaging market, players, products as well as the direction of the market.
8. Strong technical background and an understanding of the global mobile industry, application program interfaces and software development kits.
9. Project management experience.
