Graphic Designer  

ENVIRONMENT
This Cape Town based company requires a Graphic Designer to join their team. PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY.

DUTIES:
1. Participate in the implementation and achievement of departmental objectives.
2. Successfully design and develop websites and other digital solutions.
3. Ensure that all work meets best practice code re-usability. 4. Ensure design deadlines are met and allocation of work and productivity is monitored.
5. Ensure understanding of and compliance to company quality and standards.
6. Monitor project progress and track hours spent by self on tasks.
7. Continually check design, development and content against briefs to ensure accuracy and work of the highest quality, providing consistency and stability.
8. Ensure escalations are timeously resolved.
9. Key relationships with Development Manager, Developers, Project Managers, Sales and Marketing.
10. Knowledge Management.
11. Ensure that records and knowledge within area of responsibility are effectively created, stored and maintained for current and future use.
12. Ensure 100% use and compliance with company processes and systems within area of responsibility.
13. Timely and accurate reporting.
14. Ensure a seamless working environment by providing effective cross-functional communication.
15. Proactively remain abreast of industry knowledge.
16. Self study and research in order to develop both technical and soft skills.
17. Actively knowledge-share with colleagues and sub-ordinates.


REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
1. Matric.
2. Drivers Licence (and own transport).
3. Tertiary qualification in graphic Design and web design.
4. A minimum of 3 years relevant design experience with proven track record.
5. Excellent organisational and planning skills (project management skills beneficial).
6. Excellent time management skills.

Well versed, extensive experience:
1. Photoshop.
2. Freehand.
3. Flash.
4. Dreamweaver.
5. HTML.
6. CSS.

Solid practical experience:
1. ActionScript.

Limited practical experience:
1. JavaScript.
