Content Editor  

ENVIRONMENT:
Our Client an information Technology giant seeks a Content Editor to join their team. The successful incumbent will be responsible and accountable for coherent messaging in the portal, provide copy and work with Graphic designers, HTML editors and product managers in order to ensure a consistent look and feel for the company portal.

DUTIES:
1. Work with sales, marketing and product teams to produce custom website content, page layouts and mass mail temples (e-mail newsletters).
2. Perform copy editing on new and existing websites.
3. Provide feedback on potential usability enhancements for existing sites.
4. Participate in scoping meeting to provide design recommendations for new developments and products.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Relevant tertiary qualification is preferable.
2. Practical working experience with Dot Nuke Open Source CMS is highly advantageous.
3. 2 + years experience in copy editing on consumer orientated web sites.
4. Expert ability in HTML and CSS (Dream Weaver etc.).
5. Exposure to Development Languages (C#, VB.NET) will be an advantage.
6. Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and Power point.
7. Proficient in Macromedia Flash.

SKILLS:
1. Excellent command of English and Afrikaans (a 3rd language would be an advantage).

5. Good time management skills.
6. Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
