Main aim: • Assist RFM with recruitment of field workers • Allocate questionnaires (Q) to field workers according to skills level • Brief and place Q into field • Get Q out of field before due date • Debrief Q to ensure high quality • Do back checks on 10% of the work of each interviewer for each study • Sort out all Omm and Redo's • Submit Q to Cape Town before the due date
Key responsibilities: Admin duties: • Compile and submit correct daily and interim field status • Must be willing to work weekends and after hours • Responsible for the signing of addendums per project • Ensure that no field workers on the NLU list is being used • Together with RFM, responsible for recruiting, interviewing, contracting and formal training of field workers • Identify field worker gaps together with RFM • Responsible for the informal training of field workers i.e. role play, in field visits, training during brief and debrief • Must be willing to work weekends, after hours and travel • Plan non-metro trip in own area economically and responsible for monies involved and own FSOC • Ensure all administrative duties in field are completed on time and accurately • Ensure no field workers on the NLU list is being used • Ensure an accurate and updated database for your area is being kept • Manage interviewers for performance and output • Maintaining contracts and PDF's for region • Ensure that no field workers on NLU list are being used
Project related duties: • Will book field workers for briefs and venues as needed • FM will brief new studies into field • Ensure the completed questionnaires meets the quota of each study • Debriefing and checking all questionnaires • Identifying omissions and queries and resolving them • Liaising with field workers and respondents • Must have ability to meet quotas on deadline whilst maintaining quality delivery • Must ensure the correct quota of Field Workers and respondents are at the Central Venue • Will manage the central venue and be responsible for the money that is paid out at the central venue • Debrief and back check at central venue according to study quota • Will allocate the field workers that will do a trip, get the questionnaires back and do the debriefing etc • Will do 10% back checks on the work of each field worker for each project - F2F and telephonic • Provides regular feedback to RFM on studies in field • Manage interviewers for project related output • Informal training of field team during brief and debrief, to ensure maximum, cost effective and quality output Combine non-metro trips in region economically and ensure money feedback is timeously and within the correct process
Communication: • Alert RFM to any patterns of poor quality identified within the team so as to determine training focus of team • Alert RFM with details on individual poor quality or possible cheats from individual field workers for action by FM and RFM • Communicate project related problems/issues/solutions to RFM

Requirements Minimum Skills: • Completed Matric • Min. of 5 years administrative experience, of which 2 years proven management experience, ideally in a research environment • Fluent in English and preferable a second language • Working knowledge of the research process with field experience will be an advantage • Computer Literate and working knowledge on Word, Excel and Outlook • Driver's license and own transport • Experience in HR related principles and labour relations will be an advantage
Requirements: • Must be prepared to set up a home based office • Preferable for candidate to live in one of the following areas: Universitas, Westdene, Brandwag, Wigehof, Langenhovenpark, Heuwelsig, Dan Pienaar and Fichardtpark
