Account Manager

Main purpose of the job:
This position is the first step on the managerial rung:
- Manage the day to day relationships with clients
- Work in association with your Account Director to manage a team of researchers this includes
- Taking responsibility to manage the day to day work allocation within your team
- Play an active role in developing line reports, including training, mentoring and coaching them where necessary.
- Manage the research process for your clients projects

Key responsibilities:
Mange the process of:
-Design of questionnaires/discussion guides
- Preparation of all material for fieldwork/briefing fieldwork
- Data and coding/checking and specking
- Presentation preparation
Analysing data, drawing recommendations and presenting
Quality control and ensuring deadlines are met
Monitoring costs on projects
Costing projects
Proposal writing
Managing and developing your direct line reports
Continuing to broaden research skill base
Contribute towards Millward Brown learning

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience
Minimum qualifications:
- Three year degree, preferably in Research, marketing, business, economics of social sciences
Previous experience of:
- At least four years relevant market research experience in a research agency, client company, or management or marketing consultancy.
- A passion for brands and advertising is a must, a curiosity as to understand consumer thinking and opinion and a desire to advise clients how to improve their brands performance in the market place.
- Regularly presenting to clients
- Managing all stages of projects from brief to presentation
- At least one years experience managing a small team/line reports

Advantageous

Technical Competencies required:
- PC literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent English writing and verbal skills
- Level appropriate research skills - see Career Curriculum for more info (qualitative/quantitative as dictated by the team currently recruiting)
