Water Delivery Manager

Job description

A position has been made available for a Water Delivery Manager in busy water business in Somerset West. 

There responsibilities would be;
  • Manage a route planning software database and the daily scheduling for the drivers;
  • Complete management of the drivers, with emphasis on efficiency and productivity;
  • The candidate must possess excellent customer service skills as they will be liaising with water delivery clients, making regular courtesy calls to ensure they are receiving the service that they expect and whether water is required;
  • Management of the water sanitation schedules;
  • Overall management of the fleet of delivery vehicles, scheduling of servicing, repairs, license renewals and weekly inspections;
  • Overseeing of the bottling plant as well as control and maintenance and weekly reporting to management of performance and general progress;
  • Ensuring the monthly water analysis is carried out by Bemlab;
  • Carrying out daily meter readings of the bottling plant;
  • Oversee quality control and drivers quantities delivered versus collections, and assist with reporting;
  • Report that the meter readings correlate with the quantity of bottles brought into stock for the day;
  • The candidate must oversee the on-boarding of new contracts. The signing up of new contracts. The following up of new clients, all with a commission based incentive built in;
  • The collection, repair and replacement of defective coolers;
  • The candidate must oversee the sales team, assisting them in working on new contracts, with emphasis on scheduling the areas to focus on for sales;
  • Weekly meetings with delivery drivers and sales staff;
  • Water Cooler management and movement;
  • Provide performance reports and reviews of drivers and their performance at weekly meetings;
  • Provide daily and weekly reporting of the above to management. 


  • Previous clerical or administrative experience a plus
  • Ability to learn basic computer programs and processes
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Advanced communication and organizational skills
  • Articulate and at ease talking to customers and colleagues effectively
