An exciting new opportunity has opened up at Pyrotec Johannesburg. Pyrotec is a privately owned South African company that specialises in providing innovative and top-quality product identification solutions. The company’s extensive service offerings include on-pack product identification solutions including self-adhesive label systems, coding and labelling equipment and self-adhesive products suitable for businesses and homes.

The PackMark brand is our machinery division that offers a comprehensive range of labelling, coding and print & apply labelling equipment. We exclusively supply the very latest hardware from international industry leaders Markem-Imaje, A.L.Tech and Harland Machine Systems as well as a selection of other brands.

The PackMark brand seeks a seasoned, yet motivated Key Accounts Technical Sales Consultant in Gauteng South Africa to serve our rapidly growing market share in the territory. The ideal candidate shall have an extensive technical background with strong sales ability as well as understand client needs and build credible relationships.

Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification – Trade, National Diploma or higher in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical engineering
  • Five years' hands-on technical experience within a manufacturing or factory environment (FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Chemical and Electrical Cable Manufacturers)
  • Three years' technical sales experience within the relevant environment (FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Chemical and Electrical Cable Manufacturers)
  • Experience in growing accounts
  • Strong sales ability
  • Intensive experience within the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Project sales experience
  • Negotiating skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic, electrical or mechanical solutions
Duties:
  • Responsible for developing and growing key accounts
  • Technical selling of PackMark solutions
  • Assisting sales reps with obtaining and maintaining new business as well as securing deals
  • Providing technical solutions to internal staff and clients
  • Integrating PackMark’s products into clients systems as per their specific requirements
Note: National travelling will be required.

It is critical that the ideal candidate possess strong sales and technical experience. A minimum of a 50/50 split shall be accepted.
