Job description

A digital marketing company in Kyalami, Johannesburg, is looking for an SEO and PPC consultant. We tailor interactive digital strategies for clients, so the ideal candidate should be able to work with a wide range of different clients and be able to take initiative to tweak, optimise and report on various SEO and PPC activities.

If you are motivated, have initiative, and a good understanding of Google, analytics, reports and PPC campaigns, we will want to interview you.

What we expect from you

The successful candidate should be Google, PPC and analytics certified. 

This position requires continuous learning and you will be expected to learn while on the job. Being an avid reader and interested in staying up to date on search engine marketing is essential to your progress in our company. 

  • Google AdWords and keyword research
  • Google Analytics analysis and reporting
  • Advise copywriters on the keywords they should be using for different types of content (blog posts, website copy, PPC landing pages)
  • Website SEO optimisation
  • Link building
  • PPC campaign set-ups
  • Manage campaigns
  • Daily monitoring of PPC activity and budgets
  • Full and in-depth reporting on campaigns
  • Liaising with clients and understanding their needs to optimise campaigns

  • One to two years' experience as an SEO and PPC
  • Google AdWords certified (if you aren't certified, you need to pass the Google AdWords exam within three months of working at WSI to keep your position)
  • Daily account management of PPC and SEO accounts on Google Adwords, Google, Yahoo, Bing, and other search engines
  • Monitoring keyword bids and daily/monthly budget caps
  • Reporting on quality scores, impressions, click through rates, and other account metrics
  • SEO Keyword research
  • Managing of display network placements on AdWords
  • Stay up to date with SEO and PPC industry trends
  • Work closely with the rest of the digital marketing team to meet client goals
