Job description

Managing a portfolio of accounts:

  •         Building relationships with key stakeholders:

o   Understand what drives each client and their objectives
  •         Attending client meetings to uncover the annual marketing plan per brand, take briefs, present content and reports and host weekly/biweekly status meetings to track brand performance against the annual calendar, report on budget and KPI’s
  •         Reports: All CM reports must be sent to clients within the first week of every month – by the 7th of the month

Execution: existing client/retainer & campaigns:
  •         Take brief from client
  •         Set up the briefing, brainstorm and approval sessions with relevant emote/arc team members to manage conceptualization of creative ideas, approval and executions plan (timeline, costing and KPIs’) for project/campaign
  •         Present proposed strategy to client
  •         Ensure that what is delivered is aligned with the approved strategy (objectives, KPI’s, budget) :
  •         Set up and communicate post project/campaign results to client and emote/arc team

Setting KPI’s with Clients:
  •         Ensure that KPI’s are agreed upon with client, based on budget, prior to any project/campaign going live
  •         Communicate KPI’s to client in the media plan so that client has KPI’s on record
  •         Report on KPI and result achieved in post-campaign debrief session

Manage budgets:
  •         Get sight of client budgets (per brand):

o   Total ATL/BTL/TTL marketing spend per brand/year (understand why)

o   Total digital spend

o   Total social media spend
  •         Create cost sheet, CE’s, PO’s and manage invoicing
  •         Ensure that production, media and community management budgets are managed appropriately to ensure spend accords with budgets detailed on cost sheet (CHASE)

o   Media recon

o   External suppliers recon

o   Expenses recon

o   Timesheets

  • Tertiary qualification in either marketing or advertising.
  • Previous agency experience essential.
  • Excellent command of language (English and Afrikaans), both written and verbal - proof checking is a large part of the job.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Well-organised, efficient and methodical.
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and account admin.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to interact at both jnr and snr levels with clients and within the agency.
  • Direct marketing specific experience - digital and paper-based.
  • Financial services experience.
  • Chase.
