Traffic Manager/Account Manager

Remuneration:R15000 - R20000 per month negotiable Cost to company

  • Effective and efficient management of the creative production lifecycle and meeting the goals as set by the company
  • Drive tangible results across the production team
  • Ensures the traffic department runs smoothly and manage the workflow and traffic of all jobs across all brands and platforms
  • Ensure all material schedules and production planning is in line with business plan
  • Drive (schedule, plan and conduct) all meetings required for various stages of campaigns – e.g. job bag opening sessions, error prevention meeting, and sense checks
  • Oversee mail date schedules and ensure all mail dates are being met – negotiation with end suppliers for extra time or overtime work
  • Constant liaison with team and planning team for campaign executions, specific requirements or challenges 
  • Communicate the product schedules to all the right parties and channels
  • Ensure delivery instructions are received timeously and handed over to production and/or operations
  • Responsible for ensuring that all communication relating to jobs in progress is channeled clearly and timeously
  • Manage spec of print material based on budgets and postage weight allowance
  • Manage vendors to ensure adherence to agreed timelines and quality 
  • Track progress, identify obstacles and regularly update all key stakeholders with regard to delivery dates, schedules and potential production challenges and risks 
  • Ensure the completions of all production material with minimum waste 
  • Monitor and maintain quality and accuracy of work
  • Ensure that all internal documents are filled in accurately and that all relevant information is captured accurately onto the system
  • Check proofs prior to final dispatching to clients
  • Ensure that the team has KPA’s in place to effectively manage performance levels which adequately reflects expected performance outcomes and defines appropriate competencies and behaviours of the various roles
  • Must be computer literate
  • Strong experience and hands-on approach regarding traffic
  • Previous agency exp as traffic manager essential *minimum three to five years
  • Ensuring all deadlines are met timeously
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Attend and lead status meetings around traffic
  • Minimum three to five years' ad agency experience essential
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work in a pressurised environment
  • Must have strong presentation skills
  • Advertising savvy
  • Must have own transport
  • Presentable and well spoken
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
