Digital Producer/Project Manager

140 BBDO is looking for talent!

Seeking an experienced digital producer to run projects through the delivery lifecycle, on various large accounts.

The role will be to partner with the client service teams on the various accounts to ensure that projects are managed through to completion with rigour and discipline.  The role requires a strong level of partnership and collaboration with these teams at all times.

  •  Clear knowledge and expertise of the content lifecycle and content management systems and process
  •  Strong vocabulary of digital technology
  •  Strong understanding of marketing principles and requirements and their relation to user experience
  •  Strong desire to keep up to date with emerging technologies
  •  Strong management skills
  •  Ability to inspire, communicate and collaborate with colleagues and agency partners
  •  Good strategic thinker
  •  Proven financial ability
  •  Responsible for financial well-being of live projects - maintaining accurate expenses/disbursements records against jobs
  •  Forecast and manage resource requirements within the department
  •  Flagging any concerns and possible solutions to management
  •  Accurate estimation of client work so as to meet financial objectives and targets (experience of Navision and/or Chase preferred)
  •  Ensure projects are completed within budget, on time and achieve margin targets
  •  Ensure accurate and timely billing of work and costs as per our agreement with clients and in keeping with the monthly billing cycle
  •  Managing corrections and providing client service/client with daily updates on project status where resources are charged at additional rates
  •  Monitor and maintain high overall levels of quality control of all live projects in partnership with the Agency team
  •  Acknowledge all client service briefs, etc., as soon as possible after receiving them, clearly explaining when and what next steps will be
  •  Look for ways to improve and evolve digital agency processes
  •  Scope, schedule and manage the production of all digital studio projects in terms of timing, deliverables and functional specifications
  •  Develop budgets, estimates and proposals in response to client briefing, ensuring all costs are approved and processes followed
  •  Create, manage and report against project schedule/status report
  •  Ensure projects are implemented according to requirements and specifications, continually reviewing work for accuracy and functionality
  •  Resolve project, design or development challenges before they impact delivery timeline or budget
  •  Schedule and brief design work into the studio as required (through traffic manager) ensuring compliance to studio briefing process
  •  Ensure all creative work is reviewed according to the creative review process before presentation to client and any changes requested to the design following sign-off re-enter the review process
  •  Co-ordinate with agency partners and online brand management team to ensure delivery of assets (photography, copy, design) according to production schedule
  •  Work with digital copywriter to ensure provision of detail briefing and timing schedule
  •  Co-ordinate necessary imagery through the creative studio
  •  Attend all client meetings from briefing to presentation confirming all action points
  •  Maintain an overview of all work in progress, keeping senior management up to date with all issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  •  Build effective relationships with our clients by acting as the central point of contact for the client service team relationship across multiple projects
  •  Maintain awareness of marketing and industry trends and an up-to-date knowledge of the communications mix
  •  Manage the day-to-day activities of the creative studio digital team ensuring accuracy, adherence to processes and agreed budget
  •  Allocate and manage distribution of work across the team, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget
  •  Follow standards and processes for the digital team, ensuring effective integration with current creative studio ways of working
  •  Maintain and monitor quality control processes
  •  Continually review systems and processes to ensure optimal delivery and profit delivery from the digital team 
  •  Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence (EQ) when building internal and external relationships and when dealing with potentially difficult situations
  •  Committed to assisting above the day to day and proactively looks for ways to get involved
  •  Experience in “doing things differently” to find ways around problems
  •  Three-year relevant degree/diploma, e.g. communications or project management certification
  •  A minimum of three years' related work experience as a digital producer/interactive project manager
  •  Agency experience preferred 
  •  Preference will be given to BEE candidates, however, we are not limited to this specification
Experience Level:  Middle-weight

Budget (Total CTC including benefits): R15-20K CTC?

Preferred Start Date: ASAP immediate/1 May 2017 

Duration: Freelance/Permanent (preferable)
