Financial Controller

The position covers the finances of two small Pty Ltd businesses operating out of the same premises. Both utilise the Quick Books and VIP payroll software programmes.

Duties across both businesses:

Handling all issues related to creditors. Creditors are paid by the MD on or before the 6th of each month.
Invoicing of all debtors in advance of month end.
Collection of all debtors
Petty cash management and control
Preparation of monthly accounts on or before the 10th of the following month
Salary structuring and payment requisitions
Staff issues including maintenance of confidential files and regular leave schedule updates
All tax reconciliations/returns and payments - company tax, PAYE, VAT, SDL etc
Banking and bank reconciliations
Reconciliation of credit card expenses
Where called for, preparation of a board pack once a quarter in collaboration with MD
Liaison with Receiver of Revenue as appropriate
Preparation of accounts up to balance sheet level every month
Liaison with auditors
Other duties of a financial nature as and when required

Requirements

Previous exp essential
Minimum three to five years experience imperative
Media or marketing exp would be advantageous but not of paramount importance
Honest, reliable and trustworthy
Good track record with contactable references
