The 2016 International Wine & Spirit Competition held in London, UK saw Nederburg Wines receive the award for South African Wine Producer of the Year. The Paarl winery was awarded this prestigious award in 2012 as well.
The award follows Nederburg's 2016 IWSC trophy for the best Cabernet Sauvignon of the show, won by Nederburg Private Bin R163 Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 as well gold for their Nederburg Private Bin Eminence 2012 and 2007 and Nederburg Edelkeur 2009 and 2005.
Nederburg was furthermore announced as the winner of the 2017 Platter's By Diners Club South African Wine Guide's Winery of the Year title earlier this month, with four of its multi-tiered range wines receiving five-star ratings. The Paarl winery also won the coveted 2016 Veritas Award and 2016 Six Nations Wine Challenge.
