The Washington Post reports that someone else can sell your Instagram photos for $90,000.
It's not just a possibility - it's just happened. It seems Richard Prince has been 'rephotographing' since the 1970s, with his 'New Portraits' collection at New York's Frieze Art Fair comprising 37 screenshots of other people's Instagram images, enlarged to 6-foot-tall inkjet prints, explains The Independent.
The 65-year-old artist in question feels he has a right to use the images under "fair use" and has settled out of court before in a copyright infringement case, adds The Mirror.
Perhaps we shouldn't post anything to social media that we wouldn't want hanging in an art gallery.
