Two Grands Prix marked the opening of the 31st Annual Loerie Awards Festival, Friday, 25 September 2009. The Grand Prix were awarded to FoxP2 for its Achitecture and Interior Design entry, ‘FoxP2 Offices' and TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Johannesburg's Advertising Poster Campaign, ‘Cheaper Than Money', for The Zimbabwean.
Two more Grands Prix was announced on Saturday, 26 September 2009. They were Ogilvy Johannesburg for Channel O's Experiential Mixed-Media Campaign ‘Young, Gifted & Black', and Net#work BBDO Johannesburg for Virgin Atlantic's Radio Commercial Campaign ‘Ferret, Dancer, Dog, Child'.
