October AMASA meeting
At the October AMASA meeting, the last one for 2005, the imminent arrival of Day After TV Ratings (DAR's) in South Africa, the new system due to be launched in July 2006, was put to the test.

Since the announcement of the imminent arrival of Day After TV Ratings (DAR's), this pending new audience delivery system has been the industry's hottest media issue and the talk of the town amongst all interested and affected industry players.

Chaired by Frank Tilley, DAR's were discussed and debated by a panel of key industry players consisting of Chris Eyre, Managing Director of AGB Nielsen Media Research, Chris Brewer, Managing Director of IMS (Interactive Market Systems) and Brian McMillan, Media Consultant.

The meeting was sponsored by SPRINT, advertising solutions for Sunday newspapers Rapport, City Press and Sunday Sun.
