Is there a breach of contract?
I want to become self-employed and freelance for the company I am currently working for via a recruitment agency

I'm currently working for a company via a recruitment agency and my contract is expiring. My wages are payed by the agency who bill the company for my time. The company want to keep me on but are struggling to afford to due to the recruitment agency's fees on top of my hourly rate. If I become self-employed and freelance for the company I'd been working for, am I or the company in any breach of contract? My contract certainly does not state anything to this effect.
