Will apathy kill the 2010 World Cup?

Does anyone know how to successfully make contact with the local organising committee for 2010 World Cup?
I am currently in Europe, promoting Cape Town as a tourist destination. Whilst here, I held discussions at FIFA's H.Q. in Switzerland, providing me with further insight for World Cup 2010 in South Africa.

To offer my services, and to share my experience with the LOC (Local Organising Committee), I wrote to them on no less than 4 times. Sadly, not one of my letters received the common courtesy of a response, in fact all of them have been ignored. Unless these gross inefficiencies are publicised at this early stage, we might be heading for a disaster.

Please will readers contact me with suggestions on how to contact the LOC successfully?

Inviting involvement from S.A.'s business community-
Further to my comments about the 2010 Wold Cup( Forums),I herewith invite enquiries from South Africa's business community or from Entrepreneurs. After meetings with FIFA, as well as speaking to many Travel Agents in Europe, a wave of 'World Cup Tourists' will descend on South Africa. Now is the time to get involved in this lucrative industry, and this can be achieved with a low capital input. Send your serious enquiries to me via email at:udann@hotmail.co.uk
Yours faithfully

LOC contact details-
I came across your query while I was also searching for LOC contact details. You probably have them by now. No? Neither do I. Please share with me if you have. The closest link I can give you is the Department of Sport and Recreation website and links: go to www.srsa.gov.za/contactus/2010WorldCupSub-Unit.
With any luck any one of those officials can 1) respond to your request in acknowledgement and 2) actually give you what you want! Boy, now THAT would be something...

Loc contact details-
Hi there

Your best bet would be to go through the city of cape town( actually reply to emails) a host city.

Contact the mayor, by visiting the www.capetown.gov.za website and clicking on mayor.

Also contact the provincial co-ordinator for 2010, laurine platzky. Her email address is lplatzky@pgwc.gov.za and she always responds.

Use these routes to make some contact with the LOC. Posted on 26 Feb 2008 21:02
