Am I the only one that thinks Unathi and Penny Lebyane aren't good.

I fail to understand why Unathi Nkayi and Penny Lebyane are still on Prime Time Radio, on Metro nogal.
I thought when Thomas was bought in Metro was seeing the light but clearly they don't. What makes the station's management believe that these two women are prizes, JEEZ!!!

People please asist witha perspective here, maybe I'll realise something I didn't know.....

Metrofm management must just swallow their pride and bring DJ Fresh to take over from Glen 'Madala Palony'Lewis. This Madala Palony is tired and thinks ko Metro ke ko habona - he's so relaxed and does not think that he could be fired sometime to come. Metro must just revitalize departments such as morning and afternoon show, that's where they'll find descrapancies.

You are not the only one.I have always said that Penny Lebyane does not have talent.You listen to her when she does her links between the songs because she says the same thing for three hours and she has been doing that for the past 10 years.No presenting skills at all.Compare her to other female DJs like Pabi Moloi and Bertha Charuma and you will realise that she does not have talent.She is also an airhead that is the reason she failed as a talkshow host on Metro FM.

Unathi is not a radio material period.She does not have talent for radio.She only got on radio because she was on TV and Bad boy T convinced Greg Maloka to hire her.She managed to be on Metro FM because of incompetent idiot called Leo Manne not because of pure talent. Posted on 9 Jun 2008 20:23

Unathi is wack. No arguements there. Unfortunately the entertainment industry in Mzansi does hire people based on skills and talent...its a matter of who you know. Unathi is just lucky, there a lot more students who are unable to crack it to the radio world and people like Unathi behlengathi they are are mounted. I always believed that Adil is drive time material,the guy knows hois stuff,the guy is highly informed,very skillful and he makes a lot oif sense on radio, it is unfortunate that his talent and contribution is highly underatted by the incompetent Metro fm management, Bob Mabena included. Unathi bored me on Y Kamikazi Heat. She continued to bore me on the Avenue. As for Peeny...eish my sister...no no no no no no!
I really think that if radio stations like Metro let their presenters select the music then MAYBE things might become a little bit or exciting because I think the music plays a huge role in a individual's style of presenting.

I disagree with the idea of Adil doing drive-time, he should continue presenting the Top 40, he's good material for weekends...remember AD @ LARGE 6-9 weekend breakfast? Posted on 10 Jun 2008 15:12

Adil must host the Breakfast Show-
Is South Africa lacking female radio DJs to such an extent that we end-up seeing Penny Lebyane,Unathi and Azania as having talent for radio or the blame lies with management.I agree that Adil must be moved to the weekday line-up.He must do the breakfast show as the current one sucks.He did well hosting the breakfast show on Radio Bop after Glen lewis left to join Metro FM.He did the breakfast show until he was poached by YFM.He is the most creative DJ on Radio today.Adil is responsible for some DJs being on Radio.He brought Mag G and Amon Mokoena to YFM. Azania and Penny Lebyane are boring and have no talent.Listen to them and compare their presenting skills to that of Pabi Moloi(Paballo Moloi)on Highveld stereo and Buli G on Highveld stereo and Nonn Botha on Kaya FM because they are lacking compared to the other female DJs.A good idea for Metro FM will be the combination of Adil and Buli G on Metro FM's breakfast show. am just a little confussed by u guyz who claims to know radio talent.u say the presenters are wack,but yet u keep listening to metrofm.to me this means metrofm Djs/presenters are killing it.tell me what is tallent on radio? talketive,freindlyness,ernegetic and informative,to me is radio talent,it doesnt matter 4 crying out loud what u talk about as long as its funny and informative.all in one means intertainment.

You can defend them the way you like but the fact is that they suck.They are surviving because there is no 'black' english national radio station that is competing with Metro FM.Just listen to a DJ like Pabi Moloi on Highveld Stereo and compare her with Penny Lebyane(worse) or Azania. I think Unathi doesn't have talent, she should consider TV presenting (where she started). Coming to Penny, give a girl some credit, she gives hope to a girl who has never had the privilage to study in a "multiracial school" and she comes along way, she has improved from the 10 years back when she started. Azania Ke Boza - She's still has Kasie Flavour, remember everyone listens to any radio stations, even deep ko kasie.Azania speaks the langauge that most people understand. Why is it with us that when guys speaks kasie lingo ther is no problem but when ladies do that, there is a problem?

Unathi yena...ha dintshe....ma ubheda uyabheda...maan...makayolala. Sometimes you'd think that she just still in her sleeps.I do not think she is representing anyone...

Unathi, Penny and Azania S-U-C-K ! So does Metro.-
Guys I'm SO glad I'm not the only one who has picked up on this. I used to listen to metro RELIGIOUSLY back in the days when Glen was in the afternoon and Just Ice was still on Metro. I used to know whose show went after whose and I LOVED every one of them, even on weekends - with the exception of Wilson B Nkosi but that's a whole other chat session so don't get me started!

BUT NOW!! OMG Penny's show is pure unadultarated NOISE. Aza - well I can't make out WHAT she's trying to convey the whole time. and Unathi should've retired after that tv presenting gig she had where they were presenting in a warehouse (can't remember the name), and had 5 kids with that skinny dude (whom I also think SUX by the way but hey, now I just sound mean.)

For those who keep saying metro still rocks because we still listen to it-WE AINT LISTENING TO IT, when your finger mistakenly presses the search button and lands on metro THAT is when you are tortured with their voices blabbering away about nothing in particular. NO DEPTH whatsoever. What's worse is they cater for a generation that pretty much holds power and in business now (30s onwards) yet they don't talk any sense about financial issues, investments, political issues.

My opinion: Fresh needs to open up a school of dejaying and tutor every single deejay on Metro AS WELL AS YFM (that includes you too Sbu coz you also suck ass with that annoying voice of yours). Fresh tells it like it is, jokes around, but also tackles current issues that South Africans feel strongly about. I may not like all the music played on 5 fm but just the fact that everything else on radio SUUUUUCKS and Fresh really and truly is the best DJ out there - not only in SA, he ranks among the best in teh world - weekdays 3-7 are the only time I have my radio on.

my dial never switched, nor my radio turned off.
Gone are the days of talent, METROFM
sucks. I happen to listen when searching
for stations, and the total time spent
listening to Metro has never tallied to an
hour since I blocked my ears to the noise that
started to infiltrate 2005. Metro doesn't
appeal to me. Fresh and his drive team do,
awesome show on the radio. Nothing beats

All they have is Adil(Former yfm),Amon(Former yfm)and that Sintle guy...Ather than that, they have to go to YFM to look for talent...That`s why YFM must take good care of Sbu,Tholi B and MO flava,so they don`t move to Metro fm. The Avenue is the worst-
What was Metro FM management thinking when they allowed Glen to co-present with Unathi? All they talk about are their personal lifestyles and promote their gigs when they are supposed to be updating listeners on what happening around the world.

Unathi you are a decent girl and talented in some other areas but radio is not your calling.Get out of that zoo before you ruin your credibility.

Glen, most listeners can't imagine the afternoon without your voice on Metro FM. As much as you don't have substance but we are used to your good-for-nothing comments and your fake accent we enjoy them. The arrival of Unathi has derailed your performance because she constantly cuts in unnecessarily.

Unathi must be the luckiest person in S.A. No radio talent, no singing voice, no good looks, but guese what, she's riding with all of them up there.
