This is so prevalent in both urban-based and non-urban stations especially on content-based programmes or shows.What could have gone wrong in this industry?The standard of both mediums (radio & tv) has detoriated over the past few years in terms of grooming seasoned presenters.What has occured lately in this industry in terms of recruitment is that people have come to associate physical beauty or looks of a person (not brains, especially on TV)than ability to conduct the trade excellently.It is so saddening to realize that when old seasoned presenters and disc jockeys of the airwaves retire,they don't get replaced because of the skill gaps and shortage of talented presenters that exist in the industry.
At some instance,you've these retired presenters or dj's been recalled to come and carry further the job/trade as it gets to be very difficult to find replacement.This deficiency has as a result caused a major drop-down of consumers/audience and venturing into watching DVD'S,CD'S AND PLAYSTATION GAMES where they have absolute control to determine and influence their taste of things without limitations.

The question is 'how many times have you listened to a radio show or watch a tv programme without having to be tempted to switch over to the next channel or dial the next station due to the fumbling, inability of a show presenter to carry out the task as expected".What then could have gone wrong?Is it the nature of the industry that is changing time after time or career ambitions of new aspiring talents we have in the country?
