How do I know if the salary they are offering is fair?
Most jobs give salary as "negotiable"

I don't want to undersell myself, but I don't know how comfortable I feel challenging or countering their salary offer.
I am being offered R17 thousand gross as a senior journalist, full-time.
I would really appreciate any advice offered.
