I just felt I had to have my 2 cents worth on this as well!! & have to say "All hail the mighty Google!!"
I got a call this morning from Elias at NAS - that I'd entered a competition (not that I can remember) & I need to come to their offices (Kyalami Office Park, 87 Silverstone Cresc) sometime today - gave me 3 different time slots available, to claim one of the fantastic prizes I 'may have won'!! A 42" Plasma TV; R75000 home makeover; R25000 for a holiday; a weekend for 2 in Cape Town etc,etc. & gave me a reference no... I asked whether this had anything to do with trying to get me to buy something esp timeshare & only if I did would I qualify to receive it - I've been burned in this department before... He assured me categorically that it has nothing to do with any form of marketing what-so-eva!!
I had to take another call at work & asked if he could call me back in an hour. He duly did so, but in the mean time, something just didn't sound/feel right to me & I Googled NAS - guess what I found?? SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!! Where do they get our tel no's from - can we not petition a gag order (or something) on the cell companies??
Thanx to all who've posted their thoughts & my condolences to those who've personally had to sit thru this & have been properly scammed.
