The future of communications and the technologies surrounding it has fascinated me since I was a child.

If I were to describe myself right now I would say that I am a journalist, a blogger, videographer, photographer, social media enthusiast and game designer: in a nutshell the perfect interactive storyteller.

In my past I had the privilege of studying at the University of Pretoria and Stellenbosch University where I majored in International Relations and Journalism respectively.

I spent those undergraduate years honing my skills as a student journalist and media practitioner before working in the South African communications industry for two years.

I received a fellowship from the International Ford Foundation Programme and Indiana University to study new media at IU's Department of Telecommunications from which I will be graduating in June.

I am interested in contributing to the growth of many to many communication in particular in Africa which is seeing an unprecedented growth in digital technologies. I see myself as a digital media specialist, be it broadcast, online or publishing, and am always looking for new opportunities.
