Adobe Illustrator is a drawing-orientated application. Similar to CorelDraw and Freehand, but richer in scope and deeper in complexity, it is used for creating illustrations in vector format, logos and packaging, amongst others.
Integrating with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop, it forms part of a full desktop publishing solution, though it can be used for web and animation graphics as well.
Course prerequisites
Knowledge of drawing applications is an advantage. It is preferable, but not necessary to know InDesign and PhotoShop prior to doing this course.
To whom is this course suited?
Anyone wanting to create vector-graphics for print work, as well as designers in other fields wanting to use a graphic progam as part of their design arsenal.
