Cape Town's iKapa Dance Theatre has partnered with Johannesburg-based musicians, Afropolitan Explosiv in the exciting nationwide tour of the emotionally engaging performance: Inhale/Exhale. The young, vibrant and proudly South African contemporary dance company is known to push artistic boundaries in dance theatre.
The production was inspired by how universal stories and life experiences cause an emotional reaction that affects one's breathing. The dancers allow multiple emotions to stimulate their breath, which is the inspiration behind their movement - director, choreographer and dancer Theo Ndindwa
Inhaling/exhaling, just like light and darkness, is a function or a process that is integral to our being.
