Action Scripting for Flash CS3

Acquiring knowledge about the fundamentals of this scripting language will empower the user to read, modify and apply Action Script recipies to their projects.

Tutorial material provided is intended for use with notes made during the lessons. A CD of manuals, tutorial material and a growing collection of Action Script recipes is provided.

Length of course: 24 hours
The focus of this course is to learn how to read Action Script.
Action Script was developed for Flash, and it is recommended that the Flash course is completed first. For web development, an additional course in Dreamweaver is recommended.

• Introduction to scripting languages
• Quick review of the Flash basics
• Introduction to Action Script
• Object-orientated (OOP) syntax and methodology:
- Classes and objects
- Variables
- Data and datatypes
- Operators
- Functions
- Events and events handling
- Movie clips
- Authoring environment (debugging)
