This course treats feature writing as a distinctive form of news journalism and includes the technical aspects of writing feature articles as well as how to draw on storytelling to add interest.
Journalists from newspapers, magazines and Internet publications will benefit from the course. A background in journalism or training in news work is necessary to benefit from the programme.
The course objective is to introduce professional journalists to the particular demands and possibilities of feature writing.
Participants will learn how to formulate ideas and how to plan, write and polish feature articles. The course content includes how to structure articles and how to achieve depth in feature writing.
