Trainer development programme

This course will cover how to effectively plan the content and structure, and manage the flow of a training programme, which are all critical contributors to its success etc.

Without communication, presentation and training skills you run the risk of your training efforts not meeting crucial learning objectives, which, of course, can have a large and negative impact on organisational performance.

Individual attention is at the heart of our quality promise and our reputation. Number of delegates on our trainer development programme is restricted to a maximum of 10 per programme, ensuring individual attention, focused learning and coaching.

We have one very important belief - every individual must develop their own training style which flows naturally from their unique personality. This fundamental belief dictates three main differences in the way the programme is delivered:
• The individual - Individual coaching and video feedback is provided on a one-on-one, private basis;
• Tailored and relevant - Course content and learning processes are tailored and relevant to meet specific company requirements;
• Correctly harnessing technology - Avoiding ‘domination' by technology, such as incorrect use of data-video projectors and learners hiding behind computer screens.

Some of the key learning outcomes of our trainer development programme include:
• How to effectively plan the content and structure, and manage the flow of a training programme, which are all critical contributors to its success;
• Increase the facilitator's ability to make the content come “alive” by making the training more exciting, fun and experiential rather than just a “chalk-and-talk” exercise; and
• How to improve group communication and facilitation skills, so as to overcome common communication barriers that limit a trainer's “resonance” and negatively impact on the effective transfer of knowledge.

This course is unit standard aligned: NQF Level 4, Credits 16.
