This programme is aimed at non financial managers that are required to read and interpret financial statements and participate in the budgeting process within their organisations.
On completion delegates will understand the role of finance and accounting in the organisation and have an understanding of how accounting transactions end in financial statements. Delegates will also develop their knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, understanding income statements, balance sheets of a listed company, including consolidated accounts, cash flow statement, ratio analysis and be able to predict failure prone businesses. Annual reports will be dealt with as well as current issues affecting finance in an organisation.

Finance for non-financial managers The aim of this programme is to:
• Enable the participant to understand the finance and accounting aspect of their business in more detail. • Enable the participant to understand the accounting cycle and the flow of transactions better. • Enable the participant to evaluate the financial statements of any business more efficiently and effectively. • Enable the participant to evaluate and determine whether or not a business is failure prone. • Enable the participant to budget correctly and understand the importance of timeous and correct billings as well as the management of working capital and the impact on the business' cash flow. • Ensure that the practice manager understands costing issues within the practice.

Budgeting, cash flow and resource planning After completing this module, the participant will: • Be able to budget and plan for the business correctly • Understand the impact of working capital management on the business' cash flow
