South Africans will once again be given the opportunity to experience the 'Art of Possibility' presentation by Benjamin Zander and his partner and co-author Rosamund Stone Zander.
World-renowned transformational speakers return to South Africa during December 2008.
South Africans will once again be given the opportunity to experience the Art of Possibility presentation by Benjamin Zander, world-renowned conductor and speaker on transformation and leadership, and his partner and co-author Rosamund Stone Zander, following the huge success of their last visit in August. The Zanders will be in Cape Town and Johannesburg on the 1st and 3rd of December to mesmerize audiences with their presentation, based on their internationally best-selling book “The Art of Possibility”. The events are a rare opportunity to experience the inspirational speaker and musician, given his schedule of international travels and the high caliber of audiences he addresses. In January 2009, Benjamin has been invited to deliver the opening keynote presentation at the World Economic Forum in Davos. It is the sixth time that Zander will be addressing global leaders at the forum.
The Zanders received an endorsement from Dr Mamphela Ramphele who recognised the power of their message after reading The Art of Possibility and seeing Benjamin's work during the Classical Fever concert that he conducted in Cape Town during August. In her recently published "Laying Ghosts to rest" it is stated: "What stands out about Mandela's leadership style during the first years of our transition is his ability to make people feel that with him around, everything is possible. Benjamin Zander, conductor of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, has likened great leadership to inspirational conducting. The members of an orchestra are the specialists in their fields, but they need a conductor to make their performance more than the sum of their individual endeavors”.
Ben's “Art of Possibility” presentation is an outflow of the message contained in his book, challenging one to step out of the world of the downward spiral into a world that radiates with possibility. Using his conducting skills and the power of music to mobilise people into action and a sense of possibility, Ben's methods include audience participation, musical demonstrations and singing. A typical presentation includes the exploration of leadership, teamwork, creativity, relationship, partnership and the liberation of the human spirit.
Rosamund Stone Zander is a family systems therapist, executive coach and author. Her passion is in developing models for leadership, relationships and effective action that promote creativity and personal and professional fulfilment. Her work is based on an uplifting theory of human development and assisting individuals and organisations to formulate vision and direction. Institutions that have benefited from her workshops include the Aspen Institute, the British Civil Service and the World Economic Forum.
Benjamin and Rosamund return on an invitation from Louise van Rhyn, Symphonia CEO. “Symphonia Leadership Development is very proud to create the opportunity for South Africans to experience the message that the world leaders will be hearing in January 2009. I care deeply about South Africa and am concerned that many South Africans have lost sight of possibility. We are delighted that the Zanders with their extraordinary schedule are able to fit in another visit to our country during 2008. As we can't guarantee that they will return again, I urge all individuals, corporates, and government to take advantage of this opportunity by booking their seat soonest” says Louise.
Comments from attendees of the August 2008 presentations: “Brilliant and enthralling! The Art of Possibility is not to be missed and contains valuable lessons for both your business and private life.” Robert Venter, CEO, Altron
“As a health care professional, I would have no hesitation in strongly recommending the Zanders. They blend alchemy, insight, music and laughter in a presentation that is both pure delight as well as the 101 of the new consciousness.” Gerard Finnemore, Clinical Psychologist
“Your presentation was fun, insightful and vibrant. We need this positive energy in South Africa and it was a huge privilege to be able to attend it. Thank you for believing in South Africa and for spreading a universal message of possibility.” Marguerite van Wyk, SARIE magazine
