This one-day course, facilitated by Jeremy Maggs, looks at television product placement and whether its clever marketing or just a waste of money.

As the global marketing landscape becomes increasingly cluttered more big brands are turning to television shows and doing expensive product placement deals.

In the US last year product placement occurrences in prime-time US network TV rose 13%.

It's now an accepted and sophisticated marketing tool. But is it working in the South African media market?

Does allying your brand to a successful soap-opera actually make marketing sense?

The session will be facilitated by media journalist and radio and television presenter Jeremy Maggs.
