Cognitive Edge, in conjunction with The Narrative Lab is hosting a three-day accreditation programme allowing participants to discern pragmatic ways to manage situations and people under conditions of uncertainty etc.
Facing a problem within your organisation that just won't budge? No matter what solution you throw at it? Where traditional approaches to complexity issues have failed to deliver success, the techniques developed by Cognitive Edge (
www.cognitive-edge.com) have marked the emergence of fresh and insightful solutions from multiple perspectives.
Cognitive Edge, in conjunction with The Narrative Lab (
www.narrativelab.co.za), is hosting a three-day accreditation programme at the CSIR in Pretoria from March 3 to 5, which will allow participants to discern pragmatic ways to manage situations and people under conditions of uncertainty, understand the power of business narrative and discover new ways to use human networks.
Cognitive Edge, founded by Professor Dave Snowden in 2005, is focused on rejuvenating management practices to better equip organisations when addressing intractable problems or sizing new opportunities in uncertain and complex situations.
Snowden is renowned for his recent
Harvard Business Review cover article on leadership and decision-making in complex times. He is also an international speaker and thought leader on complexity.
The accreditation course, which is presented by Snowden, is aimed at decision-makers, managers and leaders and will open participants to a new way of making sense of complexity in organisations and human networks using business narrative and story-based techniques.
Independent consultants, academics, knowledge managers, senior, middle and line managers, HR practitioners and innovation catalysts are also encouraged to attend.
As accredited members, participants will be better equipped to address intractable problems and complex situations in an organisational context by adopting story-based techniques to produce fresh insight and discerning solutions. Members will also gain access to open source methodologies developed by Cognitive Edge.
On completion of the course, participants will become members of the international Cognitive Edge Network which comprises experienced professionals, academics, in-house practitioners and consultants in private and public sector organisations.
Cognitive Edge solutions, comprising open source methods, original research and the Cognitive Edge SenseMakerT Software Suite, are delivered through the Cognitive Edge Network.
