Art and portfolio preparation course

An introductory art course for anyone interested in learning to draw and paint and prepare a portfolio of art work. The 10 lectures will take place on Saturday mornings

This course offers participants the opportunity to develop their creative side. It is not only a foundation course, but serves to build onto your level of drawing and painting skills, including portfolio preparation.

This course is open to both adult and high school learners at all levels within a broad range of art skill development.

Each week a new topic will be discussed relating to drawing, colour theory and the relevant methods. Relevant projects will encourage the exploration of skills and techniques.

Participants will be able to confidently approach a drawing or painting. This course will also address how to effectively communicate the mood and tone of an artwork.
