On a creative high - Mon, 22 Sep 2014The Loeries Creative Week Cape Town came to an end last night, Sunday, 21 September 2014 at the CTICC after a jam-packed week of creativity, judging, awards ceremonies and parties; leaving all attendees on a creative high.

Covering the Loeries for the 12th year, we celebrated by dropping 1500 colourful Biz-branded balloons from the roof of the auditorium, two of which contained prize vouchers of R10,000 to spend on a creative digital marketing campaign on Bizcommunity.com. The two lucky winners were Anny Mouton, MD of Ogilvy Namibia and Conn Bertish CD of Quirk Marketing Agency.

A total of 256 awards were handed out during the awards ceremonies, as well as four Grands Prix awards. A special congratulations to the Grands Prix award winners Grid Worldwide Branding for Anti Est "Anti Est #Unlearn", in Design Mixed-Media Campaign; One Kingdom Creative Studio for Mi-Fone "Oju Africa App", in Digital & Interactive - Mobile Applications & Sites; FCB South Africa for Coca-Cola South Africa "A rainbow for the Rainbow Nation", in Outdoor Media; and Ogilvy & Mather Johannesburg for Lucozade "Give me strength". You can have a look at all the winners here.

Well done to all involved in making this year's Loeries Creative Week Cape Town one to remember.

In other news, MACHINE has been acquired by Publicis Groupe to establish Publicis Machine; and the winners of the East African AABLA have been announced.

If you missed last week's Biz Takeouts show, make sure you listen to the podcast which is now available.

That's all from me, have a great week!

Cheers!
