Trends and acquisitions

We're already more than halfway through the first month of 2015 and there's one word on everyone's minds: Trends.

On the subject today, Mike Sharman tells us that online influencers are the billboards of 2015; Euromonitor shares its 2015 consumer trends with us, as does Dion Chang. If you somehow missed our special Biz Trends 2015 edition, you can catch up with our special section here.

In mergers and acquisitions this week, Old Mutual and Pareto will be trading shares for total ownership of Cavendish Square and Menlyn Park respectively, while The Foschini Group will be buying Phase Eight, a UK clothing chain, for a cool £238-million.

Have a great week and keep trendy!
