Manage systems and project development life cycles from analysis through to implementation phase as the next Business Analyst sought by a fast-growing e-commerce platform. You will require a BSc/B-Com/IT Degree or equivalent three-year tertiary qualification, at least three years’ experience in a similar role and with debtor’s systems and processes experience. You must also haveworking knowledge of relational databases, web and client-server concepts, and a background in SQL Server, Excel, Word, Outlook, JIRA, Atlassian, Team Foundation Server and HTML and be familiar with Agile.
ICT Projects –
Conduct and coordinate workshops with business to gather detailed user requirements following a standard development in SDLC within Agile methodology.
Translate client / user requirements into highly specified project briefs, user stories.
Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability.
Draw up proposals for modified or replacement systems and present to relevant parties.
Work closely together with programmers and a variety of end-users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
Oversee the implementation of the new system(s) / enhancements.
Continuously ensure that tasks and projects are completed within deadlines and that any rework is limited.
Improve Business Efficiency –
Monitor and improve the efficiency of business processes, as well as collect and interpret data about existing processes.
Continuously keep up-to-date with technical as well as industry sector developments and investigate alternative business solutions.
Reduce manual tasks and direct costs as well as provide efficiencies through use of technology.
Interpret business processes into user interaction flows and screen layouts.
Draw-up testing schedules for the completed system(s) / enhancements.
Provide training to users on the new system(s) / enhancements.
Ensure that budgets are adhered to and deadlines are met accordingly to minimise cost.
Responsible for the compilation and distribution of status reports to relevant stakeholders.
BSc / B-Com / IT Degree or equivalent three-year tertiary qualification.
At least three to five years’ experience in business analysis, debtors systems and processes experience.
Working knowledge of relational databases, web and client-server concepts, and be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Three years’ experience within a retail or financial services environment.
Background in Microsoft SQL Server, Excel, Word, Outlook, JIRA, Atlassian, Team Foundation Server and HTML.
Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project.
Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes.
Familiar with Agile practices and methodology.
