I think the Bafana Coach must forget about him, If a child ignores his or her home, I dont think that person will ever have respect from anybody. I am not sure why he would not consider playing for SA, it is just said that he is not patriotic after what SA went thru.He should be careful not to destroy the steps that helped him thru the ladder. fORMER YEOVILLE BOUNCER AND NOW TURNED TALK-SHOW HOST-dAVID O`sULLIVAN PLAGIARISED THE AUTHOR OF THE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS APPEARING IN THE dAILY sUN wITHOUT TELLING HIS VIEWERS THAT HE GLEANED THEM FROM THAT PAPER AND SO PEOPLE THINK HERE YOU HAVE A CLEVER LAWYER TURNED JOURNALIST.
Crediting the source is not only the core principles of journalism, but it's the ethical principle of all written or sourced second-hand information: it originates from literature. It's a simple old ethic.
But it's been happening for years that stories first run on SABC programmes are not credit by commercial media in shame to show their laziness.
It's even unethical to report on news after watching SABC programmes, news or current affairs, of the same event that all media attended and use some material and perspective from SABC and pretend that was one's or common view.
One of the msoit unethical things done by reporters is to be found in sports pages when reporters provide match reports when they have been watching SABC broadcast and pretende that they were in stadiums. This happend a great deal over the first World Cup Bafana went to in France, 1998. I would watch a sport reporter sitting with us oin hte newsroom watching the broadcast and by Friday he'd file a report and never mention that he watche dthe mtach just like all poor mortals on TV!
Another tendency they'd quote commentaries given to SABC interviewes at the stadium without posing their own questions and pretend to th egeneral reading public that this was a press confernce when it was an interview at the the initiative of SABC. This tendency is done mostly by black journalists on black-aimed newspapers.
