Benefits of co-working spaces in a recession
I actually think that a lot of start-ups have a very good advantage over some traditional companies that are in traditional offices and buildings. Because they work with other companies from different industries, it seems much easier to see what other services are available for collaborations. It's really not just about the shared storage and rent costs, but about the opportunity to network and create other solutions from those hook-ups and meetings!

How significant is DOOH vs static OOH?
Hi DanetteThanks for this well considered reporting of part of my speech at the JCDecaux Africa Annual Conversation 2018. I would just like to make one correction; this part of the research I discussed was jointly funded and conducted by a consortium of companies which included Clear Channel Outdoor, Exterion Media, APG as well as JCDecaux and was supported and sponsored by FEPE

African facilities management sector poised for growth
When we talk about growth in any sector at all, it simply goes to show that there is an increase in consumer demand. Consumers need services and when businesses come forward to fulfill them, the sector is bound to see rapid progress. This is how we can tie consumer relationship with the businesses. They work directly and affect each other to a certain extent.

Da'Realty revamps Sea Point shopping centre
They might have revamped the shopping centre but it is shocking that to-date the escalators have not been repaired and the elevators they have in the centre are very very slow. Also they did not take into account that people walking in there might have wet shoes and a few people have commented how slippery the tiles are. I nearly slipped twice. Also over the years the Pick'n Pay leaves much to be desired. Well, the Checkers centre further down in Sea Point is benefiting of this. Really not impressed at all.

How significant is DOOH vs static OOH?
Great article Danette. We are currently using GEO fencing intelligence on OOH.Using Mobile intelligence with OOH campaigns? 1. Use location insights to understand the most relevant OOH sites for your brand or target audience. 2. Extend audience reach by combining OOH advertising with the power of mobile. 3. Analyse the impact of your OOH media strategy on driving physical store traffic.

#YouthReport2018: Generation jobless and the high inequality economy
We need jobs from the private sector including small business growth. However, the Buffalo City Municipality and Transnet are raising their rates or fees by 35%. This puts small businesses in the Arcadia Business Park and surrounding area in jeopardy.

4 tips for a successful online marketing strategy
Good post Boris. As for having a plan, we completely agree with that but also find it's pretty important to stay flexible and agile. The old adage about the best laid plans not surviving first contact still holds true, and when that happens you need to be ready to change and adapt your strategy to work with your new reality or opportunities to market your company or promote your campaign may just pass you buy. Plan, but plan for change as well!

African research dominated by mobile, social media
I have used digital data collection for a project for the first time this year as it seemed logical, as the penetration was limited and across rural areas. I had comparisons for similar studies conducted 2 years previously conducted in the old fashioned face to face basis. The company uses data drawn from cell phones provided by service providers, and once someone responds they are invited to be on the panel. I am also on the panel to see how it works and get regular requests for participation in on-line surveys. I was surprised at the high level of subscribers for one particular response, as it did not correspond with previous studies and had me worried, to the extent that I intend to replicate the study in one province on a face to face basis to check that the data I am getting is reliable and not generated by "panel participation impetus". I am suspicious of the results and this disturbs me. If I can query something as important as this, how can I be sure of the rest. Does this not necessairly apply to all digitally collected data that is conducted by the large fieldwork agencies who work across Africa? Its the easiest method of data collection these days. But?
