Secrets of a successful digital marketing strategy
Great article, thanks Roy! Digitally speaking, it's become very noisy out there and it's easy to skip important steps. Your article brings the strategic focus neatly back to basics!

How sporting events benefit the African continent
I was expecting a well researched article on particular sport events either held or to be staged in Africa and the resultant tourism and ocio-economic impact on the destinations concerned. Either this kind of research does not exist or the article attempts to be more of advice than giving us new and actual hard facts. I'm not sure what to make of it since most of it I've read before.

Maximising profitability of biogas plants
Specific questions should be asked to determine the profitability of such a biogas plant. 1. Is there a market for the biogas and at what prices? 2. How many times must the price of the biogas be higher than the price of the feedstock for the plant to be profitable and what determine these prices, in other words, what will change this input/output price ratio? 3. How does the price of biogas compare to the price of natural gas? 4. What alternative markets are there for the feedstock and how do the prices compare? 5. How many tons of the feedstock is needed to produce one unit of biogas and how can this efficiency ratio be improved in terms of better technology and/or quality of the feedstock.

Cape Town's fuel storage terminal expansion
This oil storage terminal has a very interesting structure to its operations. I am not sure how people in the industry are going to feel about such facilities, but I can imagine that a number of the providers are going to need to take up the storage solutions here if the oil industry doesn't continue to pick up. While the amount of oil standing in limbo has decreased, there's still a lot of excess isn't there?

A brand on a journey
I'm reminded of some of the milestones that I faced with my business for self storage in Marrickville in this article. It's hard to grow to as big as you envision for your company without a little bit of investor support, and of course a lot of funding. Of course the easiest way to help these plans along is to get a loan from the bank. At the end of the day, it's really all about how we, as business owners are able to get the assistance at a reasonable rate so that our business will not suffer taking on more liability as we try to expand. It's a very fine balance in my opinion!

WFP Food warehouse looted in Juba, Sudan
Where there is economic and political strife in a country, I'm really not surprised that those units of food were being stolen from the facility. Short of increasing security of the storage warehouse, I don't think there's much else that the business will be able to do to recover all the units of food that they've already lost at this point.

A 'mobile-first' ethos: the catalyst for business transformation
Considering the great number of people who have mobile phones, it's understandable that businesses would want to tap into that kind of a market to put its products and services out there! Even myself storage company is thinking about how we can launch a mobile app to facilitate the needs of my customers! Perhaps making it easier for them to access their self storage units somehow with the online system? Anything could work!

Unaccounted water costs must be included in IRP
Some days before i read a news from Pakistan that they had successfully targeted the coal trap in the area of Thar, but while following in detail I got that it is in huge amount but according to its quality it contains a huge amount of water and according to news they are going to use it for the making of Electricity, but as it contains a large amount of water and its not of good quality, therefore, produce less amount of electricity and huge amount of pollution, according to environmentalist it is not going to be good for environment of the rest of the world.

Samsung to merge two major units
It's a strategic move that Samsung is taking to combine these 2 business units and hopefully it will pay off for them when they start to streamline their facilities to accommodate the chance in scope. And of course, we will only know in time if this move was right when they start to look at the new solutions and profit-margins of the business units at the end of the year...

Four creative ways self-storage units can be used for business
You'd be surprised at how a lot of companies are using self storage units for things other than storage solutions. I mean, I've read about some companies that actually operate out of self storage units in some towns and cities too! It was actually a rather interesting article! Some people had a mini gym, or even a home office in a self storage unit. They would come in once in a while to get exercise or work done and then lock up and leave! Really interesting ideas to think about!

Investors eager for Stor-Age
When I first opened up my business for self storage in Inner West, I was actually rather worried about the whole thing because I was a new manager opening up my first business. Now I understand why there are so many investors interested in the whole industry of renting out self storage units though and see that I should have been more confident! I really do think that there is just so much potential with this industry!

2017 Access Co-Development Facility competition deadline extended
I wonder why the deadline has been extended. Could it be that there are not enough businesses that are thinking of applying to the competition? I would imagine that with the "prize" of this competition, that a lot of start-ups would jump at the chance to leverage themselves using the sponsors prestige and existing services to make the price of their energy storage and production ideas all the more cost-effective!

R400m facelift for central Joburg transport hub
I imagine that the citizens here would be glad to see the infrastructure facilities for the transport network being enhanced with this new facility. Especially for businesses that make use of some of the logistics services that go through this particular facility, having everything upgraded here might mean a shorter time line and more efficient processing once the whole centre has been completed. I bet they are all looking forward to the changes!

Choosing the best office space for your startup
I actually think that choosing a new office when you're a start-up can be a terribly bad idea. These days with all the options for co-working space so that you can save on your overheads like rental and storage, you should try to leverage on these until you are absolutely sure that you can afford a permanent office to house your employees. If you don't even have that many people working for you at the moment, there are plenty of other solutions...
