Comments on South Africans remain confident as 2010 draws near

Stop 2010  by  Harry
South Africa is going to be the lauging stock of the world.
Millions of Rands for the stadiums have already gone missing? Crime is out of control. Tourists getting mugged, robbed and raped? Power shortages? Infrastructure?
We are busy launching a campaign to stop 2010 from happening!
Watch press for details.

Who cares about 2010  by  Failed the pencil test
Anyone who understands Maslovs (not sure about the spelling) theory of needs is aware that personal safety and security comes before prestige.
If we are incapable or unwilling to secure our Tax paying residents, and laws have been passed so that only 2010 official sponsors and “connected few” are to benefit, then why should we as Joe publics be expected to buy into the whole 2010 saga.
I don’t give a rats-ass about some tourist’s safety for a few days in 2010; I care about my family’s safety every day.

Also since when did the “rainbow nation” become segmented by race again?(your survey)
I thought we were all South Africans and not Black, White etc.
The only non racial stats is in our crime reporting unless of course its whites attacking blacks.
Was the idea behind us all voting to have a non-racial society? Or was I just a bit too optimistic?
