Investors notice Africa's transport and logistics opportunities
Africa is doing a good job in recognizing where they can and should be growing. What's exciting is seeing the potential come out of there with the resources and demand from the population that is starting to lift themselves out of poverty. It won't be long before you start to see greater movement in the storage warehousing and logistics solutions there!

Influencer marketing authenticity
I make it a point to never purchase anything endorsed by an Influencer. I doubt the authenticity of everything and anything they shill.

Stellendale offers affordable housing for first-time buyers
Affordable housing is in demand regardless of the location even here in Brisbane. There will always be a certain group of audience that is keen on such a niche market. There has to be consistent supply within this area of interest to ensure that the ongoing demand is always met.

Delivering a true omnichannel experience: what you need to know
A wonderful article Lynette and well said about "customer being the queen" .. I agree that there is still a lot of grey area when it comes to "omnichannel", but having said that it has well been adopted by the retail industry.. As a retail technology company we see retailers struggling with managing their data and information., I work with Inventrik and we have a product information management system called OmniPIM , which harmonizes all technical and marketing information, giving our consumer a seamless experience when shopping. You can check it out at inventrik.com/pim-system/

Eastern Cape cooperative launches livestock feed and maize meal processing facility
Now that the processing facility has been built, there would be a need for adequate storage solutions to cater the feed and maize produced. Without proper storage, there could be wastage created and this would need to be avoided at all costs. A careful plan needs to be put in place so as to arrange the layout carefully. Once everything has been set, then only operations can be run smoothly.

Agricultural safeguard levy will boost the local industry, says FairPlay
It is excellent to get these "fat cat" importers back to where they belong! The question is why should it impact the local consumers negatively if the levy increases the imported chicken cuts by 35,3% when they can buy it much cheaper from local producers? The dumping of agricultural products below production costs is in any case against the rules of the World Trade Organisation!!

#EntrepreneurMonth: RentMyRide owns the adventure
I was informed by somebody senior at Rent My Ride that I could in fact rent out my Isuzu 2.8, Double Cab bakkie even though it had high mileage and is a 1997 model. Then when I tried to register my bakkie that my vehicle was too old and could not be insured. I was told this, very rudely and dismissed very abruptly once the lady consultant discovered I was not important as a client. Even though my bakkie is in very good condition. There should be a separate policy for older cars with different insurance or do Rent My Ride only cater for shiny new cars. Many people call me to rent my bakkie but I am not keen without some support systems or a company like Rent My Ride which should now adapt to the market needs and possibly employ less snooty consultants who don't treat you like you just crawled out from under a stone if you have an older vehicle.

New report highlights opportunity for companies to improve their biodiversity performance
"Businesses are critically dependent on these ecosystem services to produce their own products and services, and they also impact on biodiversity through their day-to-day activities, for example, through deforestation for the production of timber or through pollution from the release of waste products.." This is not deforestation - look up the definition of deforestation. In forestry and timber terms, this is harvesting, which like any other farming practice. And like most sustainable harvesting practices, new saplings are planted in their place. The forestry sector is well invested in biodiversity conservation, and has been for decades.
