I thought I was the only one with this sort of a problem. I recently brought a well known mag only to find an article that was circulated on email. How is that to top it all? I thought Journalists are also refered to as "the creative"
How about the style of writing in Newspapers like Die Son aaargh! by snooples
Sure, it's for a particular market - probably written with the thought in mind that you're speaking their language - but come on! It's demeaning and condescending! you can publish interesting gut wrenching stories stories with a little more class. The style in which the newspaper is written further imprints the negative image of the target market in question.
As for the pictures/ visuals - Newspapers such as the Argus have been doing well for years without being as crude.
