yes we all hate Mo the meerkat. MTN is kicking ass with their ads and this is the best Vodacom can come up with? Geez.... Go to facebook and join the group " I hate that F...g meerkat from the Vodacom ads". Most of South Africa under the age of 30 is on there!
the ads with the cheeky black guy mocking george the white guy are far worse. they are distasteful and have put me off vodacom completely. i notice a tile or bathroom place has the same campaign. what happened there? did someone sell it to both or is this an example of the feeling out there and of what people think?
the new one where "lucky" meets the cutout of "george" is the worst. he is obnoxious and insulting. "...needs thias by tomorrow YEAH" who wrote this copy? it's pathetic. lucky is being portrayed as more sophisticated than he is on the one hand, and then adds in totally irelevant uk slang on the other. come on vodacom, stick to what is valid in our country.
