Comments on Idols & Randall

Randall's comment  by  MARKETING MAN
The only reason Randall sent the prospective Idol (Cliff Jennings) home withouth singing, is because he had auditioned twice before already (in JHB and CT) and was categorically told that he couldn't sing at all both times. Call me a cynical old marketing guy though, but I think that this Cliff character is OBVIOUSLY a fake contestant. He was clearly hired by the producers to be like American Idol's William Hung and to ultimately create some extra ratings. Just found this online about "Cliff"http://www.news24.com/News24/Entertainment/Local/0,,2-1225-1242_2174271,00.html

Cliff  by  ollie
News broke on the 30th that the Oke is a fake organised by Ogilvy, good riddance of bad rubbish as the show is supposed to be a REALITY show and not a conglomarite of fakes

Idols  by  Cliff Fan
Oh please, Cliff was a piece of marketing brillance in a large pool of otherwise legit Idols wannabe's. The real deal would get really boring without the clever quirks like Cliff. I think Ogilvy should get an award. Live the Dream, Cliff, live the dream!

Yeah Idols!  by  Van
If you're going to enter Idols in the belief, mistaken or not, that you can sing you have to be prepared for the comments that will come with it. If you listen for hours to people who can't carry a tune in a handbasket you get a little iffy.
What I do not agree with is a comment Garreth made to a contestant about his looks. He told the guy he looked like chipmunk and that's all he thought about throughout the audition. Idols is about talent not looks.
Wonder if Snoop Dogg's mother ever thought THAT face would be on posters some day?
Rate the person on what it's about - singing and not on what they look like. That's just shallow.
