Are you equating a client moving from one supplier to the next with a senseless murder? You're either really trying to hype up the client/supplier relationship, in which case - not very well done; or seriously downplay murder.
I agree with what you're saying - yes, there does need to be a level of courtesy that businesses exhibit, but maybe your metaphors could use a little work.
I couldn't agree more with Janine's thoughts. Lester is mising the point by only challenging her comparisons. Like the zero tolerance to crime approach in New York, get the smaller day to day issues sorted and the bigger problems (like the callous disregard of life and law mentioned)become easier to tackle.
All of these problems come back to how we interact with other human beings and the mutual respect, or lack of it, influence how we each deal with other people - at home, in the office, on the streets.
The business relationship problems Janine spoke about are simply an indication of the selfish, materialistic society we have become, where individual gain is the sole motive, no matter how it is achieved.
