Im in PR and loving it  by  Nomcebo
To anyone out there who did public relations but not practising at the moment, I say to you, hang in there, your time will come. There is nothing as exciting as doing what you love. Its not just one thing you do but a lot of different things that always keep you busy and not bored at all. I waited 2 years before finding the right job and I can tell you now, it was worth the wait.

PR = Passion Rewarded  by  Buttercup
Hi I've only started my PR career this year and am at my second company. This company is so cool and the accounts that we work on are so interresting. I love being able to meet new clients and do the events. Its a bit tiring but its AWESOME!I think it all depends on the company you work for.

10 years later and still having a ball  by  Nomzamo
I have been in the industry for 10 years after completing my studies in PR and Communications. I still look forward to the challenges presented to me on a daily basis as the PR and Communication field is one of those enjoyable and unpredictable fields. I have always practised in huge corporations and I still learn something new each day. What do I enjoy the most about this industry? I'd say the satisfaction I get from a job well done and the responsibility that comes with it, the credibility and integrity I always have to display so as to gain it in return from my peers at work and within the industry. How does one achieve this? Well those networking opportunities are more than just about smiling and chatting with a glass on one's hand, also being part of communities such as this one, PRISA (PUBLIC RELATIONS INSTITUTE OF SOUTH AFRICA) and the Communication Executive Council. I am looking forward to the next ten years of being part of this exciting and everchanging industry! My passion for PR and Communications still burns within me.

Oh yeh!  by  Julls
Yes my love my hand is up.I am practising as a PRO and loving it, I don't doubt that it is the best field ever. The problem with me however is that I am doing the right thing at a wrong place so I guess it really depends on the company you are working for. I understand what u'r going through, the feeling of having a headache the minute you think about going to work the next day.My advice gal is, CHANGE THE COMPANY but hold on to the job cos bills will still be calling ur attention.

My Hand is so up!  by  Nonts
I am doing PR and Am loving it all the way, i studied PRM and pursuing Communications. My bigg challenge is that the organisation is big, actually a Municipality currently changing from Local to Metropolitan (you guys can imagine the challenges one is faced with then) and am just so little down there, yes in the big office but i still feel that people dont understand PR. in this organisation PR seems to be only about Media and Public Liaison relations, press release and speech writting. i am struggling a bit because i have to face big managers and teach them to understand the importance of media relations. I have not permanently secured the position and that is why i need to prove myself. I have a passion for writting as well though i dont know much about what to do and where to start to fulfill this dream, can anyone help? Wish me luck everyone I need to get this position...
